This weekend was a bank holiday weekend here in Ireland which was great to get the extra day off work. I still have a lot of holidays to take so hopefully the weather will pick up again and I can enjoy the sunshine. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I was so glad for the weekend to arrive as I was working late a lot of the nights this week- it's a long day at work from 9:00am until after 9:00pm and as I commute I wasn't home until almost 11:00pm some of the nights. It was nice today to catch up on housework and go for a nice long walk around the farm. The morning was lovely, we even had some bright blue skies... Below are some photographs from the farm... Well Summer is well and truly over now and Autumn has set in. The evenings are much shorter & it  is getting darker much quicker. This Summer I spent a lot of time in my garden and set a lot of flowers. This weekend I hope to set some bulbs for Spring time.

This year we visited the Tullamore Show and the National Ploughing Championships, both of which were great days out. I took note of all the home grown produce at both events. Tullamore Show is Ireland's largest one day agricultural show and country lifestyle event with approximately 60,000 visitors and over 1,000 competitions taking place. This year the weather was great on the day and I really enjoyed all of the show marquees- there was one for home baking, flowers, poultry, photography and craft. There are all types of animals- cattle, sheep, pigs, horses and rare breeds along with exhibitions and trade stands.

This week myself and my husband visited the annual National Ploughing Championships which is a three day event. We went for the first day of the event. It is Europe's largest outdoor exhibition and agricultural trade show. Different types of ploughing takes place and judging takes place each day. This year 283,000 people visited the event over the three days. It was extremely well organised and there is so much to see and do. For anyone interested in agriculture it is a great day out... Below are just some photographs I took of vegetables and flowers from the two events.

Hello everyone... It's midweek already which is great. I have holidays to take from work so I have decided to make a long weekend of it. Can't believe it's Easter- the year seems to be flying by. I had an extremely busy weekend, gardening, working on the farm, painting and put together some new furniture I purchased in IKEA.

Above are some photographs of my sunroom. I'm trying to create an eclectic look for it.. Doing some painting of furniture so I will post some photographs when it all comes together.

On Sunday I explored along the lake shore and helped out on the farm.

What wonderful weather today for the end of October. It was mild with some sunshine too. I spent some time outdoors in my garden and around the farm. My flowers are still blooming which is great as I thought they had finished at the end of August when the weather was so cold and wet. Hopefully with all this good weather, it will make the Winter seem shorter. Hope you are all having a fun filled weekend....

I am so delighted that the weather has improved here in Ireland. The countryside looks wonderful in the summer sunshine. I love spending the evenings walking around the farm. Rural Ireland is so beautiful with blue skies. Here are some of my photographs which I took this evening after 7 o' clock, so you just imagine what a lovely day it was.

Hello everyone. Imagine it is June already, the year is flying by. The first day of Summer here in Ireland has been a wash out, lots of rain and wind. At last the sun has made an appearance. It was so bad with rain that I have spent most of the day indoors. We even had to light the fire as it was so cold. I am really looking forward to my holidays this year as I need sunshine!! For June I hope to do some decorating around the house. We also have family coming to visit so that should be fun. Today is a bank holiday here in Ireland so I have a short week at work and I am even comtemplating taking some days off later in the week too. Have you any nice plans for June?

Sunday we decided to hit the road and enjoy a few hours in the good weather. We decided to visit Bundoran in County Donegal along the Wild Atlantic Way. The sea air is good for the soul and there is nothing like spending a nice sunny day at the seaside. Here are a few images of our day.

Hello everyone. The weather has just been wonderful this weekend and to top it all off, we got an extra long weekend with the bank holiday and I am taking tomorrow off too. At last sunshine has arrived, the countryside is turning a lovely colour of green, the grass is growing and the flowers are beginning to blossom. I love this time of year and try to spend as much time as possible outdoors. Here are a few photographs of my walk around the farm this morning. These photographs were taken from one of my favourite places on the farm where there is no one in sight and only the sound of the bird song.

Easter is upon us already. It is a great time to catch up with family and friends and take a break from work after the long winter months. Our weather here in Ireland is forecast to improve which is great as we have had miserable weather. I have finished my flower arranging course now so will miss it. Below are some images of the flowers I have in my home at the moment. I have lots as they last so long when I keep them in my entrance hallway as it is much cooler than the kitchen, dining or living room. I loved the flower arranging course and perhaps I might even enroll on another one. I am longing for some sunshine to get out and about and do work in my garden. First thing I need to do is paint the garden fence. I also want to set flowers but it is still a little early for that as the nights are quite cold. Have you any nice plans for Easter?

It is very windy and cold here in Ireland this past week. I haven't had much of an opportunity to get out and about as it is dark when I get home from work and dark when I am leaving in the morning. At this stage I am looking forward to Spring time with the longer days and brighter mornings. I haven't had the chance to use my hunter wellies much but hopefully soon.... Is anyone else longing for Spring time now???

Apart from home (which is on a rural farm in Ireland), Mykonos is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. I love the white washed buildings with the pastel blues, greens and pinks. The azure blue skies and aqua coloured ocean adds further to the charm. The old churches and windmills are so pretty juxtaposed with the low buildings and blue skies and hilly terrain beyond. It is so clean, tidy, bright and relaxing. The cafes and bars are stylish and everything looks so good in white. I fell in love with Mykonos and hopefully some day I will get a chance to visit again.....
