Life Lately... cat, handbags and sunsets...

Another weekend spent at home...February is flying by... I have gotten into a bit of a rut lately which has resulted in very little blogging.. But I'm back again. Below are a few images of what I have been up to lately...
The weather has been quite dull so again apologies for the gloomy photos..
First up, Millie our little kitten posed for me on the farm... I think she might have a career in modelling- what do you think???

I needed a new bag for everyday and picked up this one from Oasis, it is reversible which is great, tan leather on one side and black on the other side- I am really loving it. It is really practicable and has a small purse attached too.

Winter always has the nicest sunsets. Here in Ireland they are so quick, when I see the sun setting I literally have to run out the door with my camera in hand. I try to make it across the road and up the lane for a landscape shot over the lake. Last week I didn't make it that far so I just took this one from my front door and to be honest it didn't disappoint. I am so grateful to live in such a lovely place and it's a photo like this that makes me appreciate nature more than ever.

Winter Fashion - Warm and Cosy...

We are experiencing a cold spell here in Ireland these days so everyone needs to wrap up warm. Earlier this month I went shopping and picked up a few casual tops for over the winter to layer with cardigans, scarfs and jackets. What are you wearing this winter?

Wearing for the Winter months ahead...

What I have been Wearing, Eating and Drinking over Christmas...

Over Christmas I have spent lots of time with family and friends. It's now New Year's Eve, the years seem to be flying by... 2015 has been good to us, we spent good times with family and went on a wonderful holiday visiting Spain, France and Italy... We didn't get much sunshine or heat here in Ireland, it is almost like we skipped some of the seasons with just Spring and Autumn and no actual Summer or Winter. Lots of rain and wind... Over Christmas I have been-

Wearing;

Eating & Drinking;

Wishing you and yours a wonderful New Year's Eve and best wishes for 2016 and all it has to hold.....  Goodbye 2015

Little Red Dress...

Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of blogging lately, I've been busy since the start of February. Compared to January, February is flying by, almost half way through the month already. We are attending a wedding soon and I spotted this dress in the sale and decided to buy it. I don't usually go for red but this one is really pretty on and I love the back of it. I will wear it with black high heels, black handbag and blazer. Hopefully it will be a nice day.

With the longer days coming in, I hope to get some nice photos soon and get back to my blogging.

Winter Wellies

It is very windy and cold here in Ireland this past week. I haven't had much of an opportunity to get out and about as it is dark when I get home from work and dark when I am leaving in the morning. At this stage I am looking forward to Spring time with the longer days and brighter mornings. I haven't had the chance to use my hunter wellies much but hopefully soon.... Is anyone else longing for Spring time now???

Holidays Finished...

Christmas and the New Year celebrations are over now for another year. I took down most of my Christmas decorations on Saturday as the foilage was getting withered. I leave our tree up until Little Christmas on the 6th Janaury. I hope you all had a wonderful festive season with your family and friends. I had a really relaxing time. Now to a new year and lots of new plans for the future. The New Year can be a bit depressing for some people but we have to look at the bright side of life and keep positive. I have no new year resolutions, just take it as it comes and enjoy life. As my husband always says things happen for a reason. I got a lot of vouchers for Christmas this year so decided to treat myself and get a few pretty things.

Christmas Jumpers? Will you or won't you?

Do you wear Christmas Jumpers? I have seen some pretty ones this year, although I like them I don't wear them.  Here are four I found over on asos. Asos has a great range of clothing online and I love browsing through their website.

Christmas Jumpers are fun! I perfer the blue and white snowflake and reindeer one. Have you bought one this year, if so I would love to see a photo of it?

Do you like Antique Lace & Vintage Fashion?

Remember I posted at the start of the month on November through the Years. As I have been blogging since 2009 I decided to feature some of my old blog posts from November in years gone past.

So this week I am featuring some images from a blog post from November 2010 entitled Antique Lace anyone?? This post featured Sheelin Antique Lace Shop & Museum based in Bellanaleck, County Fermanagh. Since 2010 it looks like Sheelin Antique Lace has expanded to include Vintage Fashion. Their website and Facebook has some beautiful images- so feminine and sophisticated. The shop has a real boudoir feel to it. It looks amazing! It appears they have also opened another shop in London- Sheelin Lace London. I recommend that you follow Sheelin Lace on twitter or visit their websites Sheelin Lace and The Sheelin Antique Lace and Vintage Fashion

Things I like this Week....

I haven't posted much in the past few weeks but now that the Summer is over and the nights are getting longer, I will be posting more frequently. I haven't posted items I like in a long time so here goes. Below are a few items I like this week...

From top left:
1. Paris scene t-shirt which I purchased from Next (nice for lounging around in)
2. Really loving the Pip Studio tile collection based on classic lace patterns
3. A good read from Lesley Pearse- lots of love and heartbreak, thanks to my sister in law for getting this for me (haven't it all read yet but I'm really enjoying it) and finally
4.  Bought this blue tile print dress from New Look, now that I see it, it looks really like the Pip Studio tiles :) Love the blue colours.

So there you have it, all the things that I like this week. Is there anything you are into this week?

Autumn Style and Interiors

Autumn is well and truly here this week with lots of rain, wind and cold weather. It was almost like Winter. One thing I love about Autumn is that the countryside looks so pretty with all the leaves changing colours. I like wrapping up warm and going off out for a stroll in the evenings just before it begins to get dark. I love wearing my wellies and boots in the Autumn time and  lots of scarfs and hats. Below are some images I like for Autumn Clothing. I make the house nice and cosy- lighting the log burning stove, having candles burning and accessorizing to make the place feel nice and warm. I remove some of the more pastel accessories and replace with nature inspired items. Below are also a few nice images of Autumn interiors from Laura Ashley. Do you like Autumn? If so what is it that you like most about Autumn.

Country Style Clothing and Fashion

Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of blogging lately. The weather has been really hit and miss this week, today started off lovely and then a massive down pour of rain came. You never know what to wear, do you? I always have an umbrella, hat or rain jacket nearby. I noticed this week in the Country Living Magazine that comes with the Farmers Journal they focused on Country Chic Style Clothing. As you may have realized I love all things country and country chic style clothing. I even have a Pinterest board Country Chic for all the country style clothing I love. One Irish clothing range I love is Jack Murphy, take a look at their website here. As they say themselves, "we live and love the countryside and want everyone to be able to enjoy every aspect of country living to the fullest…without compromising their sense of style. So whether you are actually living the country life, simply escaping to the country at weekends or even if you just like the country look, we have the perfect collection for you".

Are you a dedicated follower of fashion...

Are you a dedicated follower of fashion?? Do you like to keep up to date with the latest style and wear 'what's in'? Maybe you love to keep on top of what is in trend but me, nope, I have my own style. I love casual country style clothing and you can check out some of the country style outfits I like over on my Pinterest Board.

However, I also love bright pastel colours as they impact my mood. Spring may be over, but I am definitely not over pastel colours. I love them, give me baby blue, power pink or mint green any day! Savida at Dunnes Stores have some lovely pastel clothing, accessories and shoes at the moment. Here are a few items I love. I gave in and purchased the laser cut shoes and the cute scalloped edged handbag which was in the sale- Bonus! What type of clothing do you like the most? Are you a dedicated follower of fashion? Or like me, do you go it alone and pick your own style.

Style..

We attended a wedding yesterday and I wasn't sure what to wear. I have some nice black dresses but wanted something a bit brighter. I bought the top and skirt in H&M and had a pair of black shoes and a blazer already so it was pretty simple but different for me. It was a bit more casual than I would usually wear to a wedding but it was comfy. Hope you are all having a nice weekend. The sun was shining here this morning but it is getting dull once again, will Spring time ever come, the buds are only coming on the tress now. Have you any nice plans for the weekend

My Valentine's Style

What's your Valentine's Style? I bought this black sparkly dress on ASOS, my friend bought me the crystal ear rings and I already had the eye shadow. I am preparing in time...

Getting ready for Spring time...

For Christmas, my husband bought me a surprise. I wondered for a long time as to what it might be... I knew it wouldn't be clothes as he isn't into picking out clothes for me. My mind was racing wondering what could it be... He mentioned that he bought my present online and that it was being delivered by courier, but I still didn't know what it was... Then Christmas morning I got up and opened my big surprise- Yes... Hunter Wellingtons! I was admiring them all year when I saw them in magazines and was always complaining about cold feed in my cheap €10.00 wellies. So now I have all the comfort coupled with the style for practical use on the farm. The cows are calving again now for the Spring so I will be busy in the evenings when I return from my day job... So now at least I will look trendy on the farm and one thing is for sure my husband will spot me in the dark, I won't need to hear a hi vis vest now with the my neon pink hunters!

Floral and nautical style...

How pretty is my floral bag at less than €10.00 in New Look at my new blazer from Heatons less than €25.00. Hope you are all having a nice weekend :)

A shop for me to visit...

I came across this shop online today and I would love to visit it. I will put it on my to do list which is getting very long lately. It is called Red Earth and looks lovely

Here's a link to their twitter page

Some winter clothes

Here are some of my new winter clothes. I've starting moving at last, have all my kitchen ready now including dinnerware and glassware. Bedroom furniture arriving in the morning, lots of packing to do now! One of my friends called today with a big hamper full of goodies and new saucepan set. I was delighted with them. Also got my proof wedding invitations today which I am happy with. Christmas is almost here, hope you have all your presents wrapped.

All that glitters...

Today I love...
Glittery high heel shoes, do you like them?
