What a beautiful weekend. The weather was just perfect, lots of sunshine and warm too. I spent most of the days in the garden and around the house. I also bought some new clothes for my holidays... Today we went to the lake and the forest for a walk. I love being at home when the weather is good... Below are a few images from around the house this weekend. Sorry for the messy kitchen...

Are you like me, when you buy a candle you really like, you don't want to light it as it is too nice to burn... I do that all the time....

I love casual country style clothing and you can check out some of the country style outfits I like over on my Pinterest Board. 

However, I also love bright pastel colours as they impact my mood. Spring may be over, but I am definitely not over pastel colours. I love them, give me baby blue, power pink or mint green any day! Savida at Dunnes Stores have some lovely pastel clothing, accessories and shoes at the moment. Here are a few items I love. I gave in and purchased the laser cut shoes and the cute scalloped edged handbag which was in the sale- Bonus! What type of clothing do you like the most? Are you a dedicated follower of fashion? Do you have any pink in your home? Do you think it is too girly? I spotted these cute pink items and the adorable badger cushion (I think it is a badger) all from H&M Home. Unfortunately H&M do not have home accessories in their stores here in Ireland. Have any of you bought any of their homewares? I think some of them are really stylish and very affordable too :) Keep up the good work H&M and bring the homewares to more of your stores, particularly here in Ireland!

The weather is awful here in Ireland, dark, damp, wet and windy. On top of that it is freezing cold too. I need some sunshine badly, so in order to sprinkle some brightness into my day I have been admiring these beautiful pastel shades in clothing. They are fresh and cheerful. Hopefully the weather will improve soon. I have today off work so went to get my hair cut. Have you any nice plans for the weekend?

 

This weekend I have been organising my sun room. Since we moved into the house, I had no furniture only our wicker chairs so I bought a few bits and bobs this weekend. I bought this new unit for the corner and the pink mat. I am waiting to get the light fitting fitted and I will show you photographs of it when it is in place. Hope you like it? The ceiling is high and is finished in pine. I am unsure what way to dress the windows. In total there are three windows and the double doors to outside already have blinds on them. Curtains may block too much light and blinds may look a little plain, what do you think??

From reading my blog you are probably all aware that I like all things girly and pink. I have a keen interest in interior design and love reading any interior books or magazine. I love Escape to the Country and Grand Designs on TV. I am not the best of people with computers but I have tried to put together some inspirational ideas for my dream home :) Here is a nice mix of girly, glamour and just a hint of pink. I love white furniture, however here in Ireland people don't tend to use it very much in their homes, maybe it's because it can look a bit stark at times if not complemented with other colours. As our weather is dull and can be quite cold it may be another reason by people don't use it as much, they may perfer darker wood furniture which feels warmer. Anyway I'm going off the point there. So do you like pink?? As the saying goes 'Pink makes the boy wink'.
