I am not sure if I have shown you some photographs of one of our guest bedrooms which is still a work in progress. We are in our home six years but never had any furniture in this room until before Christmas when we had family staying over. I do have another guest bedroom fully decorated but hadn't bothered with this one until now. It was about time too after six years! I need to add some finishing touches like pictures/wall art, perhaps a radiator cover as it looks awful in these photographs. I would also like some prints for the bedside tables as the current ones with the birds don't match the decor. If you have any suggestions for me, I would love to hear from you as I really don't know what type of pictures/wall art to get that will tie in with other bedclothes I have. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We have been busy this festive season with a family wedding the week before Christmas. We had some guests stay over, then a few nights out followed by Christmas dinner for seven this year. Overall it was really enjoyable but went very fast. I have a few more friends to meet up with and then time to ring in the New Year.

I spent most of the day tidying and cleaning the house. Where does all the dust come from??? The dust fairies are always around my home... Below are a few photos from around my home (apologies if you have seen some of these before). Hope you are having a nice weekend.

Below are some of the pretty home accessories available in Primark stores at the moment. They are really girly, romantic and stylish at affordable prices. The candles are nice too. Are you like me, when you buy a candle you really like, you don't want to light it as it is too nice to burn... I do that all the time....

 

 

Do you like White Bedrooms? I am always drawn to white interiors- the fresh, clean and crisp look of them. They look pretty too and very feminine. I tried to achieve a white guest bedroom in my home, but it was just too cold for me when I saw it in reality. It was lovely when the sun was shining but then when it was dull it felt cold and uninviting. For that reason I decided to add some pops of colour to liven it up and add some warmth. I know if you put different patterns, textiles and shades of white it works best but I just couldn't get it right. Then I thought it was because I have wooden doors, window boards and skirting boards so it wasn't fully the all white look. Even though I didn't go with the all white guest bedroom, it doesn't spot me from still loving white interiors and here are a few images of white bedrooms from the internet which I really like. I think they all are from Ideal Home. Do you like them? Have you a white room in your home?

Last weekend I visited Asda in Enniskillen and bought this lovely new king size duvet cover for just £14.00- such a bargain. It is really soft and suits our bedroom perfectly as it is light blue with cream furniture.

Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of blogging lately, I have been busy since the New Year and trying to keep fit in the evening, which leaves less time to blog and spend time surfing the web. Last weekend, myself and my husband went to IKEA. I just bought a few items, but fell in love with the HEMNES Range and the EKTORP JENNYLUND armchair. Have you any items from this range at home? If so, I would love to hear your reviews. I hope to visit again next month and purchase some larger pieces of furniture.

I promised I would show you an image of my new roman blind in my guest bedroom. The room is painted white. Here it is, sorry the image is very dull. It was taken at the weekend when the weather was very gloomy. I still have more finishing touches to add to this room but overall I think it is coming together well. I need to try and get some nice wall art for over the bed, any suggestions? I don't want anything too patterned as the fabric used on the blind, the bed runner and the cushions is enough pattern. As some of you may have read on my blog previously, I was unsure what to do with the white guest bedroom. In the end I decided to buy fabric and get a roman blind, cushions and a runner for the bed made. I bought Forest Friends fabric from Prestigious Textiles and my aunt made all of the items. I think it looks good now. Apologies the light isn't good in the photographs, it's dull enough here this week. I will take some photos of the roman blind for you as well, but for now here is the finished room. All I need now is something nice to hang on the wall over the bed.

I am currently trying to pick some fabric for roman blinds in my guest bedroom which I posted about here. Have a look at the images of the prestigious textile collections below and let me know which you think I should pick. I am still in the process of decorating our new home and you may have seen the photos of my guest bedroom which I painted white. I am trying to finish decorating and styling it and found these beautiful images above from the House to Home website. My guest bedroom has a metal frame bed, white walls and French style furniture. I would love some advise from you all on how to style it. I am uncertain what type of images/photos to hang on the walls. I am thinking of buying a roman blind for the window. Here are a few images of it below. I think a white duvet cover would look the nicest with a floral throw for the bed. The Cath Kidston duvet cover in the top right photo is a double bed size and too small for the King size bed. Any suggestions or images of how I could style this room?

I went to IKEA last week and bought these pretty Rosali bed clothes for our bedrrom, the looks like CK but for half the price :) I thought they might be a bit hard but they are so warm and cosy- I love them :)

 

At last I am getting around to styling the other rooms in my home, here is one of my guest bedrooms which is coming together nicely now. I think it's a cross between shabby chic and country cottage, what do you think? Apologies as the light was poor when I took the photographs. The next room is my sun room, I need to get lighting, accessories, blinds and a mat too. I'm off work today so will be off to do the shopping soon.

I came across these wonderful bedroom images below on the House to Home website, what do you think? I love them all, some are country cottage style, others lovely pastel colours, some vibrant colours and lots of patchwork and pattern too. You could spend ages and ages on their website looking through all the interiors, so much inspiration.... Now all I have to do is decide what way I want my spare bedroom to look...
