I haven't posted 'Things I Like' in such a long time, so here goes.... This month I'm liking all things country style, cute floral patterns and lots of autumnal colours.

 1. First up as always it's Cath Kidston... who doesn't like a bit of CK? The patterns are so cute and cheerful.

2. I'm also on the look out for a nice practical handbag that doesn't date... I've come across the Longchamp Tote which I'm loving the look of. I would love to hear your opinions on a nice practical handbag. I like bags that I can put over my shoulder as I don't like having to hold them in my hands all the time.

3. Finally, I can't get enough of Joules Clothing and everything Joules, their clothing is so practical but so stylish at the same time. They are the best at doing country classics and their clothing is perfect for life in the countryside and the city too if you live there. For lots of inspiration and style, visit Joules Journal 

I spent most of the day tidying and cleaning the house. Where does all the dust come from??? The dust fairies are always around my home... Below are a few photos from around my home (apologies if you have seen some of these before). Hope you are having a nice weekend.

This week I'm loving lots of things but here are just a few of them;

I've been following The Informal Florist on instagram and twitter and also saw an article about them in Irish Country Magazine. I love their style and their flower arrangements are so pretty- really natural looking and traditional- just the way I like flowers.

So the Informal Florist has inspired me to enrol in a short night course in Flower Arranging in a local community hall. I am really looking forward to it and will let you know how it goes. 

This week I am also loving Cath Kidston's Billie, he is just adorable...

Is the kitchen the hub of your home? Well in my house, it really is. I am not the best cook or baker for sure but I do spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I like to think it is a country style kitchen with oak details and cream units. The canopy over the hob is french style and the lights are all from IKEA. I love the fisherman's lamp over my dining table. I generally burn Yankee candles in my kitchen after cooking.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I had an extra long one as I took Friday off and today was a bank holiday. I spent Friday with my parents and Saturday with my sister in law. Yesterday I did the shopping and today I just chilled out and did some housework.
Below are a few images from around my home if you would like a nosy. First up is my growing stack of pretty towels in our bathroom with a few Cath Kidston items thrown in too... The wee lotions I got for 50p in a charity shop, I will probably never use them as they are too pretty. As you may have noticed before my bathroom is very vintage style with lots of florals.

Some of my books are stored here including Selina Lake's Homespun Style, Lorna Sixsmith's Would you Marry a Farmer, Gisele Scalon's Goddess Guide, the rest of my books are stored in my library room in the attic. I also have lots of country inspired items. The card is hand painted silk from Swallow Yarn Barn. You might also spot my Rachel Allen Forget me Not candle and the pretty wildlife cards from Wrendale Designs.

Hello everyone, it's the weekend again, the weeks just seem to be flying by. What horrible weather we have had this week, rain, sleet, snow and high winds. It has been a week for staying indoors. But alas I woke this morning to sunshine, yes sunshine! At last, Spring may be on its way. The bulbs I planted in my garden are popping their heads out. I may do some Spring cleaning today but first I thought I'd share with you some lovely items from Cath Kidston which I have my eye on. I am loving crochet these days and as always anything nature themed like this beautiful bird wallpaper. I love baby blues, pinks and pastel greens. Have you any nice plans for this weekend?

Here are a few items on my wish list this week, my wish list changes from week to week as I browse the internet and come across so many pretty items from furniture, to handbags, to perfumes, clothes, the list goes on.... This week I'm loving these hand made stools made from recycled wood with crochet covers from Wood & Wool. For some time I have been admiring handbags and just love this Garden Birds Everyday Bag from Cath Kidston. It looks really practical, easy to clean and also comfortable. I like a bag that I can put on my shoulder, not keen on clutch bags. Next item on my wish list is anything from Fragonard Parfumeur based in Grasse in South France (near Cannes & Nice). I visited their historic perfume factory over ten years ago and was delighted to see Marks and Spencer stock some of their products for Christmas. Finally for the current weather, I spotted this really pretty Joules country inspired umbrella. Joules has beautiful country inspired clothing, homewares and accessories. I just spotted some of the new Cath Kidston Limited Edition Bird Print, it is so pretty! As you already know from reading my blog I love all things that take inspiration from the natural environment! My last post was on florals for those of you who may had a chance to see it! Cath Kidston's new Autumn range of fabrics features garden birds 'in warm, earthy autumnal tones of Cream and Olive, the hero print of the season is the latest in their rich history of bird prints'. It features the Robin, Blue Tit and Chaffinch so pop over to their website and have a look yourself! I love all things country and these cute bird prints are definitely some of my favourites.

Do you like wallpaper? I have none in my new home yet! Above are some of my favourite patterns from Cath Kidston and Laura Ashley mainly. What type of wallpaper do you like? Do you have wallpaper at home? I would love to see some images of it. I think it is nice for a feature wall rather than a whole room. I'm thinking of putting some in my guest bedroom (mentioned with images in my previous post)

I went to IKEA last week and bought these pretty Rosali bed clothes for our bedrrom, the looks like CK but for half the price :) I thought they might be a bit hard but they are so warm and cosy- I love them :)

 

Hope everyone is well. Last week was my 30th birthday and my husband had a party for me. We had 25 people over for food and drinks. It was really nice to celebrate it with close family and friends. I received some lovely gifts, here are just a few below, I couldnt get photos of them all

Hope you all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed the time off. I am lucky as I also get today off work :) I had a nice weekend, went to my friends wedding party which was really good and great to see two good friends begin their married life together. I had another friend visit Sunday night and then I went to the city yesterday to catch up with more friends that I went to university with. I also had dinner with my inlaws on Easter Sunday which was lovely. So all in all, I had a lovely Easter with family and friends.

My good friends got me these lovely Cath Kidston mugs as an engagement present. I love them, I suppose you could say I love all things Cath Kidston but they are a treat for me, as I find they are on the expensive side. I did treat myself to the bluebell hand cream earlier in the week too! 

Take a look at some of the beautiful engagement presents I have received which include Cath Kidston napkins, Cath Kidston double duvet set and pillow cases, farm tea pot, country cottage coasters, a whistling kettle, oven glove and set of towels. How lucky am I!! My plans are coming together, I have a provisional date booked at the hotel, need to check availability of bands, have my bridesmaids picked and have looked at some wedding dresses. Sorry for the lack of posting and blog visits to your blogs lately but I am very busy with work, the new house and the wedding plans.
