As you are aware I live on a farm and my husband is a farmer. We have no sheep on our farm so whenever I'm out and about I love looking at sheep and lambs in the fields. There are very few farms in our area with sheep. When I see them, I always want to take photographs of them but rarely have time or don't have my camera with me when I see them. Here are a few photographs I took of a visit to North County Leitrim. They were wandering the roads and mountains...

This week I'm loving lots of things but here are just a few of them;

I've been following The Informal Florist on instagram and twitter and also saw an article about them in Irish Country Magazine. I love their style and their flower arrangements are so pretty- really natural looking and traditional- just the way I like flowers.

So the Informal Florist has inspired me to enrol in a short night course in Flower Arranging in a local community hall. I am really looking forward to it and will let you know how it goes.

You may have noticed that I post a lot of photographs from around home and the farm on my blog. Below are a few images of my favourite tree which is on the top of the hill at home. I have started to photograph the tree through the seasons, below I have Summer Evening, Summer Day, Autumn Sunset and Winter Sunset. It is both amazing and wonderful to see nature and the landscape change around us through the seasons. Have you a favourite tree?

Last weekend we went for a walk around my boyfriend's land, here are some views of it across the lake shore.

You have have noticed that I am not very green fingered but I can appreciate some nice gardens when I see them and I love the natural environment, I love trees and flowers and when I get my new home I want a lovely garden too. I help out alot in my mother's garden. At the weekend I took these photographs of the garden centre and gardens at the estate we visited, hope you like them!

This weekend was a bank holiday weekend here in Ireland :-) Don't you just love long weekends! I hope you all had a nice weekend, did you get up to anything nice??? I Spent some time with my boyfriend and enjoyed the good weather :-) Here are a few photographs I took of the Forest Park...

As you already know I love to go exploring on Sunday's with my boyfriend, last Sunday we went to the grounds of a lovely estate run by the National Trust, the weather was beautiful, I was all set to take lots of photographs but as usual my batteries died. I got in a frenzy when I saw the light flashing and got to take these few photographs, so that explains why they are at funny angles. These cottages were part of the old farmyard which was converted into self catering accomodation.

Here is a photograph of the Castle in the distance, the castle is privately owned so we didn't get to see inside :o( We were very disappointed as I'm very nosey and like to see everything!

There were also the ruins of an older castle on the grounds of the estate, a boat house, workers cottages, summer house, mill and stables. I was very disappointed as we had gone here another Sunday in March but it was closed and that day my camera wouldn't work properly either. The grounds were beautiful with an array of wildlife. There were sheep and new born lambs bouncing about in the fields. This Sunday I'll make sure I have the camera batteries fully charged as I'm going to charge them now.

We all like our homes to be welcoming at Christmas Time, after all first impressions are the most important so why not decorate your hallway/entrance with lots of Christmas cheer. The natural look is always the nicest, maybe some pine cones, Christmas wreaths and garlands, holly, ivy, misteloe, a small Christmas tree or plant, then add some red ribbon, bows, bells, glitter and decorations. Some christmas scented candles create a lovely smell but be careful lightling them while they are unattended, so maybe on the safer side opt for some christmas pot pourri, of cinnamon, orange slices and spices. You could try and make your own, here are some good recipes and ideas I came across at the Daisy Shop. From now until Christmas I am going to collect pine cones and be on the look out for holly and mistletoe for nearer to Christmas time. If you have any Christmas decorating ideas or crafts, I'd love if you would share them with us.

Now take a seat and relax after that long walk in the woodlands and enjoy the rest of your weekend where ever you are!
