My good friends got me these lovely Cath Kidston mugs as an engagement present. I love them, I suppose you could say I love all things Cath Kidston but they are a treat for me, as I find they are on the expensive side. I did treat myself to the bluebell hand cream earlier in the week too!

Have some wonderful weekends
Here is a lovely book to have on your coffee table, just to pick up and take some inspiration from. It would make a great Christmas present too. I hope you are all near ready for Christmas. This day next week is Christmas Eve! How do you spend your Christmas Eve? Do you relax with family and friends? Or perhaps you always forget some presents or cards and need to run to the shops to do some last minute shopping? Do you prepare some of your Christmas dinner?
Some presents I received ....
Take a look at some of the beautiful engagement presents I have received which include Cath Kidston napkins, Cath Kidston double duvet set and pillow cases, farm tea pot, country cottage coasters, a whistling kettle, oven glove and set of towels. How lucky am I!! My plans are coming together, I have a provisional date booked at the hotel, need to check availability of bands, have my bridesmaids picked and have looked at some wedding dresses. Sorry for the lack of posting and blog visits to your blogs lately but I am very busy with work, the new house and the wedding plans.
Today I love...
Cath Kidston's new looks for a new year and Spring range including her bag collection. Perhaps this year I might splash out and buy one of her tote bags. Have you got a CK bag? If so what one is it and do you like it?

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas
Hello everyone, hope you aint all snowed in and your Christmas preparations are coming along nicely. I had another quiet weekend. We have snow now in Ireland too so it's beginning to look alot like Christmas. We're snowed in yesterday and today as our lane has a very steep hill so today they are trying to clear it so we can take the cars out.
So I wrapped some of my presents,
And started to compile my wetland bird identification booklet which includes characteristics to identify each species and a sketch of each. I have the Swans and Geese almost complete, it takes awhile to draw the sketches, I then have to arrange them in my book and add photographs and more sketches, I have about another 60 to do so that will keep me busy over the Christmas. Here are a few examples
On Saturday I started this.... Any guesses what it is?
Did you guess right??
I think it looks quite cute, I finished it last night.
-----
So let me know what you have been up to? I have some more Christmas gifts to buy but I will have to wait until the snow clears and it stops freezing.
How was your weekend?
Hello everyone,
Well its still the weekend here in Ireland as today is a Bank Holiday :) I hope you all had a lovely weekend, let me know what you got up to. I had a nice relaxing weekend, Saturday I pottered around the house and did some cleaning, the weather was awful out, gale force winds and heavy rain all day long. Saturday evening one of friend visited she stayed until after midnight so we had a great time catching up. She also brought me a belated birthday present as she has not been home in months. So I got a beautiful fluffy brown throw for my bed, it'll be so cosy in the Winter, here it is

She also brought me a fluffy white cushion, it's really pretty and will look lovely on my bed with my new brown throw.
I thought it was Christmas again, as she also got me this very modern photo frame which I will put in my bottom drawer
And she also got me a nice 2010 Diary, she is so good to me. I'll have to think of some nice Christmas presents for her.
Then Sunday the weather improved, we only had a few showers. I met up with my boyfriend and his family, he took us for tea to a lovely hotel, and then last night we stayed in at the fire. I'm like an old woman, I rarely bother going out at night.
Today I'm here updating my blog, the weather is much much better, there is even some sun :) So I'll be off out for the afternoon.
Let me know what you got up to at the weekend?
Oh and heres a little poem on friendship before I go
Friendships are like flowers
That brighten your day
With fragrance and beauty
To share on life's way
So treat them like flowers
From the gardener above,
Weed them with mercy
And water with love.
