Tea Party

I'm rubbish with cameras and with the lack of good light these days my photographs look quite dull. I spent today pottering about the house, cooking, cleaning and spending time with family (Just what I enjoy). Now I'm snuggled on the couch with a nice mug of tea as it is very cold out. I treated myself to this lovely book-The Vintage Tea Party Book by Angel Adoree. I loved her TV series in which herself and her husband Dick Strawbridge followed their dreams and bought the beautiful but run down Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson  in France which they restored beautifully. I'm looking forward to reading this book and trying out some of the tea party ideas. I also bought some more Cartwright and Butler Biscuits which come in the prettiest of tins-I now have a blue and  pink tin and they are really good value too and oh so yum... Whenever I get around to trying out some of the tea party ideas I'll photograph them for you... until next time my friends....

Tea Time....

Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the Summer time. The weather has changed here today and it has started to rain. We are currently painting the outside of the house. I am taking a day off work tomorrow to relax. Have you any nice plans for the weekend? I'm off to Castle Leslie for Afternoon Tea which is a nice treat. You know how much I love tea.... I hope to take lots of nice photographs but just to give you a taster of what it might be like, here are some nice Afternoon Tea inspired images...

Blogging from my kitchen table...

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately. I have been busy with work and also my evening jobs on the farm, feeding the calves. I can't believe it's March already, the weeks are flying by... must be a sign I'm getting old. We are now married over a year and have been in our new home a year and 3 months! Only this week we got broadband so I can now go on the internet anywhere in the house which is great. Before this week we were getting a signal from my father in laws house which was good but we had to sit in the chair at the window to get the reception. I am here blogging from my kitchen table this evening with all of my favourite things- freshly picked flowers, a nice yankee candle and a big mug of tea. Hope you are enjoying your weekend....

Time for a Tea Party....

I came across these beautiful tea towels from Ulster Weavers. Ulster Weavers is a home textiles company based in Holywood, Northern Ireland. Which is your favourite design? I like the songbirds with birdcages and the Paris Towels. They are all so pretty. For more designs visit Ulster Weavers.

I have a favourite mug of course both at home and in work. Hope you are all having a nice week, the sun is shining and it is time for me to go and do my jobs on the farm. March...

Spring is in the air, I love nothing more than having a lovely cup of tea in the sunshine :)
In March there is lots to celebrate, we have Saint Patrick's Day here in Ireland which results in a day off work so I love any day like that :)
I also have a family wedding and I have to do a reading too so I will be all dressed up :)

And that leads us into April and Easter :)

No daffodils here yet as it has been too cold. I'm just going to have a cup of tea and go for a walk. Enjoy your weekend what ever your up to :) I love the sunshine :)

My 1st Attempt @ Card Making :)

Well how is all in blogland today, seems like everyone has snow, apart from me, there is freezing fog outside and my college was cancelled today. It is very very cold but again tonight I'm snuggled at the fire with my cup of tea :) This evening I started a new cross stitch pattern which is progressing very very slowly. Then I  looked through lots of my magazine for interiors for my inspiration booklet. If you have a home interiors book of your own full of inspiration I'd love if you'd share it with us on your blog, let me know if you have :) I then started my card making, here are some photos of them, they look a wee bit amateurish but it was my first attempt. It is so simple ain't it and cheap too by recycling all the old cards. Sorry the photographs aren't great.

Suki is indoors all day keeping warm here she is half asleep on the arm cover of the chair. She is generally not allowed on the chair, bold kitty!!! She never opens her eyes for photos either!

There's always time for tea :)

What you up to this evening?

Why not sit down, relax and have a cup of tea with me! How is 2010 going for you??

This afternoon I worked on some of my goals for 2010 I did more sketches for my Wetland Bird ID Booklet and also more descriptions which I will then arrange into a booklet-

My mam went to the supermarket today and came back with these free christmas items that they were giving out to customers, thanks to ASDA. I will put this away safe until next year :)

Two packs of stick on bows for presents

Four rolls of Christmas wrapping paper

Three packs of gift ribbon

And I also put up my 2010 calendar better late than never which came free with a copy of Prima Magazine, the red squirrel is pretty! The red squirrel is native to Ireland  :) There is also a recipe for each month of the year on the calendar.

Now you put your feet up and enjoy the open fire, I'm off to do some card making now and print some work off the laptop I'll be back later :)
