Some shopping for the home...

Last weekend I visited Asda in Enniskillen and bought this lovely new king size duvet cover for just £14.00- such a bargain. It is really soft and suits our bedroom perfectly as it is light blue with cream furniture.

A White Guest Bedroom...

I promised I would show you an image of my new roman blind in my guest bedroom. The room is painted white. Here it is, sorry the image is very dull. It was taken at the weekend when the weather was very gloomy. I still have more finishing touches to add to this room but overall I think it is coming together well. I need to try and get some nice wall art for over the bed, any suggestions? I don't want anything too patterned as the fabric used on the blind, the bed runner and the cushions is enough pattern. An update on our Guest Bedroom...

As some of you may have read on my blog previously, I was unsure what to do with the white guest bedroom. In the end I decided to buy fabric and get a roman blind, cushions and a runner for the bed made. I bought Forest Friends fabric from Prestigious Textiles and my aunt made all of the items. I think it looks good now. Apologies the light isn't good in the photographs, it's dull enough here this week. I will take some photos of the roman blind for you as well, but for now here is the finished room. All I need now is something nice to hang on the wall over the bed.

Today I Love Cath Kidston Bird Prints!

I just spotted some of the new Cath Kidston Limited Edition Bird Print, it is so pretty! As you already know from reading my blog I love all things that take inspiration from the natural environment! My last post was on florals for those of you who may had a chance to see it! Cath Kidston's new Autumn range of fabrics features garden birds 'in warm, earthy autumnal tones of Cream and Olive, the hero print of the season is the latest in their rich history of bird prints'. It features the Robin, Blue Tit and Chaffinch so pop over to their website and have a look yourself! I love all things country and these cute bird prints are definitely some of my favourites.

Here are some of my favourite Cath Kidston Hanbags too!

Retail Therapy

Sorry I haven't blogged as frequently lately, I have been struck down with some type of computer virus but I think it is sorted now- fingers crossed! Since I was last blogging I took a day off work and had some retail therapy. I bought a few bits and bobs. See below, from top left, Woodland Friends Fabric which my aunt is going to use to make a roman blind for my spare room along with two cushions for the bed. Next up a nice pair of wedges from New Look which are quite trendy. I didn't want sandal wedges as I can wear these even when it is raining! Some limited edition nail polish from M&S, to be honest this isn't great nail polish and I wouldn't recommend it as it smudges when going on and finally I bought two new pairs of ultra soft super skinny jeans from Primark or in Ireland otherwise known as Penny's. We are also trying to sort out our garden these days and are having problems with rabbits eating our Holly plants which we set as a hedge. They are eating all the leaves apart from the ones at the very top, so it will take forever to thicken out. We are spotting hares every day in the field behind our home. I'm off now to feed the wee calves. Chat soon and remember some retail therapy is always good :)

Picking fabric patterns...

I am currently trying to pick some fabric for roman blinds in my guest bedroom which I posted about here. Have a look at the images of the prestigious textile collections below and let me know which you think I should pick. The guest room is painted white with white furniture so I hope to get the blinds made along with two cushions and maybe a bed runner? So have your pick and let me know what one you like?

Styling my Guest Bedroom... Any ideas?

I am still in the process of decorating our new home and you may have seen the photos of my guest bedroom which I painted white. I am trying to finish decorating and styling it and found these beautiful images above from the House to Home website. My guest bedroom has a metal frame bed, white walls and French style furniture. I would love some advise from you all on how to style it. I am uncertain what type of images/photos to hang on the walls. I am thinking of buying a roman blind for the window. Here are a few images of it below. I think a white duvet cover would look the nicest with a floral throw for the bed. The Cath Kidston duvet cover in the top right photo is a double bed size and too small for the King size bed. Any suggestions or images of how I could style this room?

Cath Kidston meets IKEA....

I went to IKEA last week and bought these pretty Rosali bed clothes for our bedrrom, the looks like CK but for half the price :) I thought they might be a bit hard but they are so warm and cosy- I love them :)

Amy Butler Fabric Bag

Last Sunday I had a lovely day out with my husband, he treated me to dinner out and we also went to a local Christmas Craft Fair. I bought a few things but couldn't leave this Amy Butler fabric handmade bag behind- Isn't it beautiful? I love all things blue and this pattern really stands out. Do you like Amy Butler fabric? I love the patterns. Here are a few more Amy Butler patterns below....

Time for a Tea Party....

I came across these beautiful tea towels from Ulster Weavers. Ulster Weavers is a home textiles company based in Holywood, Northern Ireland. Which is your favourite design? I like the songbirds with birdcages and the Paris Towels. They are all so pretty. For more designs visit Ulster Weavers.

Curtain material....

I have picked this material for my curtains in the snug. We have two windows and my aunt makes curtains so she will be making them for us :) They are traditional, both nice and bright too :)
Sorry I haven't blogged in soo long, I am really busy, almost ready to move house, I'm still organising our wedding and on top of that I had an interview and I have got a new job which I will be starting in the new year, so it is really busy. It will be a new chapter in my life-new house, new job and new husband in February :) Hope you will all continue to follow my blog and my adventures in my new home, new job, almost a new life....

Some Cute Cushions...

How pretty are these cushions all under €20.00 from Heatons, my favourite is the the one on the top left- so delicate and sweet isn't it? I hope you are all having a lovely weekend where ever you are!

Some Wedding Dresses fit for a princess

Well we all saw the Royal Wedding Dress which was beautiful, but which one of the above would you choose?
