Cath Kidston meets IKEA....

I went to IKEA last week and bought these pretty Rosali bed clothes for our bedrrom, the looks like CK but for half the price :) I thought they might be a bit hard but they are so warm and cosy- I love them :)

Lola and Laura...

Came across these Lola and Laura duvet sets in Dunnes Stores and thought they were really pretty and reasonably priced too :) Very girly indeed!

Sweet dreams with IKEA....

This year I will visit IKEA at some stage, it about 2 hours from my house by car but I always love to see all their showrooms and all the household accessories. Most of the furniture won't suit my new home as most of it is designed for smaller spaces but I will get lots of ideas and inspiration. These duvet sets look lovely and bright, just how I like them. I also like the Billy Bookcases. Have you any IKEA items in your home?

What I've been up to this weekend...

Well its Saturday evening here in Ireland and I'm relaxing watching an episode of Escape to the Country which I taped yesterday. I did alot of house work this weekend, hoovering, changing bed clothes, cooking, dusting and cleaning. Here are some of the beautiful clean soft bed clothes on my bed :)

Here is the patchwork quilt I have on my bed at the moment. I really love the pink colours, I didn't make it myself- I wish I was that good. My mother bought it for me years ago when I was a child and I love it :)
I thought it would look pretty with my grey quilt cover.

Here is a photograph of my yummy shepards pie, everyone loved it so I'll be making it again soon :)
Here are the few hearts I made on my new sewing machine, I'm learning. I still have to stuff them so they are still open at the bottom to put the stuffing in. I'm only a learner so you will have to excuse the odd shaped hearts, I did use a perfect template but practice will make perfect.

Christmas Time Shopping....

Here in Ireland the largest Irish owned retailers are Dunnes Stores (some of you have already heard of them).Their stores are dotted throughout the country and they have a combination of Food, Textiles and Homewares all under one roof.
Here are some Christmas Ideas from Dunnes Stores which I particularly liked.
