A few photographs I took on my night away....
Hello everyone, you must of all thought I had disappeared, my blog wasn't working correctly for a few days. I have been busy with work and the new house. The plastering is finished, my kitchen is ordered and I'm ready for the internal doors and skirting. I have some rooms painted too. I went to my parents holiday home for a night and here are a few scenic photographs of the area...
What are you all up to this weekend. Sorry I haven't commented on many blogs lately as my blog wasn't working correctly but I'm back in action now :)
Blog lovin' ???? I'm not feeling the love...
Does any of you know much about Blog Lovin' I set my blog up on it and no followers :-( I update my blog reguarly but no one seems to stop by via blog lovin'. Does many of you use it?
I'm not feeling the love...
{My blog lovin' }
There is always time for...
Tea.... in lovely china and floral tea cups with delicate handles and tiny teaspoons, lots of milk and a good chat with a friend... Bliss! Anyone that knows me will know how much I love tea.
On my visit to Edinburgh my friends brought me to a place they knew I would love. It was called Clarinda's Tearoom on the Royal Mile. It was like my grans kitchen :o) We had breakfast and some lovely fairy cakes- yes I know those who indulge bulge, however it was more of a balanced diet of good and bad! Here are a few photographs to share with you. Sorry they are not the best of photographs as I was trying tp avoid the other customers.
Thank you so so much :-)
I was working late this evening and when I got home there was a parcel waiting for me :) Exciting! I knew where it was from, it was my wonderful prize I won over at ..... A Mermaids Purse.... Kazzys wonderful blog, full of lots of pretty interiors, crafts, illustrations and images. Full of lovely treasures and personal touches. Thank you so much Kazzy :)
Have a look!
What is this???
Oh an envelope....
And look what's inside...
How pretty is this card, it is so me- floral patterns, flowers, birds and butterflies...
And more...
A lovely receipe which I must try, I'm trying to improve my cooking skills
And there's even more...
At this stage I was smiling from ear to ear, I could also smell something really nice..
and here it is...
I've named her Lucy
So adorable and she smells lovely too :) Think she'll fit in really well in my bedroom near the radiator as she will leave a lovely scent in my room :-)
And last my not least- the masterpiece of my parcel... I got a sneak peek of it on Kazzy's blog but it looks much much prettier and perfect in reality...
Look at the detail of the wee mouse, think that's Lucy :-)
And look at the fairy, the detail and delicate flowers in her hair, I think it is adorable and want to get it framed as soon as possible.
Thank you so much Kazzy you are so kind and such a good blogger friend. Sending lots of good wishes and hugs across the water to you and Sweetpea :) I will try and have your return parcel in the post this weekend.
Update On Me & My New Bunting!!
Hello my dear friends,
I hope you are all enjoying the weekend, the weather is beautiful here in Ireland :o)
I haven't been blogging very much recently as I have a lot of stuff going on and I'm also busy at work. I must apologize if I haven't stopped by your blogs much lately. I have booked flights to Edinburgh for July as I am visiting some friends who I met at University, so that is something to look forward to. What have you all been up to?
I got this free bunting in one of the Ideal Home magazines and thought it was cute, so I put it up in my study/craft room along with the heart bunting I made- what do you think?
P.S: Do you remember I previously wrote my Goals for 2010 in a post entitled Goals for 2010- so many dreams waiting to be realized- well in that list at Number 12 I had wrote: Start a very big project (It's top secret though so I can't share it with you all yet)
Well next week all might be revealed and if so I will be posting about it :o)
Come explore with me today....
Hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend and a nice break too. I spent time with my family and boyfriend today. As always we went exploring the countryside. Here are a few photographs of some of the sites we saw on our travels. Hope you like them. This was a quaint sleepy village, it looked like time had almost forgotten it, it would make a lovely setting for a vintage fair or market. So why not come along with me and have a look around the village....
Large Parochial House
One of the two Churches in the village
Pretty ironwork gates
The village green with tower clock
Village Hair Salon
One of the small stone cottages
Another stone house
Clock tower
The Garda Station

Hope you enjoyed the stroll around. Did you get up to anything nice today?
Wishing you all a wonderful Easter :o)
To all my dear blogger friends, I hope you have a wonderful Easter. We had snow here in Ireland this week but the weather is beginning to improve, the days are longer, the grass is getting greener, the buds are appearing on the trees, the daffodils have bloomed, the sky is getting bluer, the lambs are bouncing in the fields and all we need now is sunshine. Soon everywhere will be brimming with life. I hope you have a nice weekend with your family and friends and your loved ones. Watch out for the Easter bunny :)
Pretty Pink Parcel in the Post.....
I was very excited yesterday evening when I got home from work :) I had this lovely parcel full of goodies from Tilly Rose. She is an expert crafter and is just launching her new shop online, be sure to pay it a visit. She is busy working on it at the moment, it is so lovely with lots of lovely things :)
Check out the treasures I got, I have never had so much fabric before, so this weekend I will be very busy crafting away :) I have another heart to sew and this is a really pretty one, take a look at it below. If any of you have any suggestions for other small projects for me, let me know.

Pretty Pink Parcel
And look what I found inside :)
and more...
And lots more...
And even more...
And still more...
And Tilly Rose also included this pretty fabric heart template.. which I will finish off this weekend, fingers crossed I won't make a mess of it. Check out some of her completed hearts which she sells in her shop.
And then there was a bag full of this...
Ribbons, lace, buttons and fabric flowers :)
How lovely are these...
I was so happy and excited to recieve all this from Tilly Rose, she is a truly generous and kind person and I really appreciate that. I have found so many wonderful blogger friends and I really appreciate all the support and kindness from you all :) Thank you Karen from Tilly Rose :)
I got Happy Mail :-)
Hope your week went well and your enjoying the start of the weekend. I was very excited Wednesday evening when I returned home from work :) There was a package waiting for me :) All the way from Canada :) I never received mail from Canada before and mail this nice. I got the camera out ready to take photographs of the contents, but so predictable the batteries were dead. So do you want to see my gorgeous gifts from my dear blogger friend Laurie Anne from Rebel Blossom.
My happy mail consists of a beautiful needle case which I really needed as I have already lost two needles on the armchair. I was in a panic that someone would get them stuck into them! That would not be good. It is so pretty pink and purple with an adorable cupcake on it. And inside I got needles, it is all handcrafted and even has a Rebel Blossom tag which is really cool!
I also received two handmade cards which are really well crafted and perfect looking, they are so nice I will have difficulty ever giving them to anyone :)
And then on top of that I got the cutest drawstring bag- cream and pink with two hearts sewn onto it :) It is so pretty, I am going to hang it on the side of my bed post and put my fluffy bed socks into it :) I sound like an old woman!
Thank you so much Laurie Anne. I will have to post Laurie Anne her Happy Mail this week. To be honest I really didn't know what to send so I was waiting to see what kind of contents to send and I'm afraid I don't have any handcrafted items. My needlework and crafting is not very good but one thing I can say is that it is unique :)
So a massive thank you to Laurie Anne from Rebel Blossom for her very thoughful happy mail :)
You should visit her blog, it is full of lovely crafts, cooking and lots of life stories :)
