I got my Christmas holidays Friday, so it's now time to really get into the Christmas spirit. I met with friends yesterday for a nice meal.It was good to catch up. I hope to finish decorating my home tomorrow. I waited this long as I want fresh Holly, Ivy and festive shrubby which I will get on the farm. I took some inspiration from pinterest today and wrote on my chalkboard, I decided to put it on an old vintage ladder I was using to decorate my tree. What do you think? I need to add real Holly and Ivy to it in the morning. I will give you an update photo then.

Some Retail Therapy...
I spotted a bargain in Lidl this week. I generally don't buy in Lidl, I like to keep my shopping local but I must say I really like this country style desk in white. The shelves on the top can be sepertated from the desk as well. I might just have to pull at the purse strings this week and buy one of these for my new home :) Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.
Some wee scribbles I did today
Just there this evening, after feeding the dog, hoovering, doing washing and tidying up I sat down with a big mug of tea and picked up the pens to doodle. Im always scribbling and it always tends to be butterflies, bees, and flowers. Other people tend to always doodle houses and stick men and woman. Its weird how we automatically think of some things and not others, hearts is another one people doodle alot. Ivy is another thing I scribble but I suppose when your like me its a case of what can I actually draw that will look half decent. What do you always seem to scribble, doodle or draw?
Today I like....
Calligraphy- The word Calligraphy literally means beautiful writing. Before the invention of the printing press some 500 years ago, it was the way books were made. Today, there are three main types or styles of calligraphy: (1) Western or Roman, (2) Arabic, and (3) Chinese or Oriental. It is mostly in the form of elegant hand writing. It is an art form in itself. It allows you to juxtapose creativity with attention to detail in order to create something beautiful and exact.
