October in Ireland is beautiful, look at the blue skies and the beautiful array of colours in the hedges and trees. I went for a walk today around the farm, the photos show you the wealth of natural heritage here in Ireland. There is also a photo of some of the buildings dotted around the landscape including the calf house, the old hen house and a view of our cottage through the hedge. As the saying goes 'Pictures speak louder than words'. Enjoy

Ireland in the Sunshine...
Hope everyone is enjoying the Summer, the weather is a bit gloomy here today but I am keeping my fingers crossed that more sunshine is on its way... Here are a few images I took two weeks ago when we were in the west of Ireland. I am busy these days doing DIY and painting so will post about that soon.
There is no other place I'd rather be- Hidden Ireland
Summer has come at last. I have been spending as much time as possible out and about in the evenings. I love going for a long walk along the lake shore. Why not come along with me....
Just cross the road, up through the farmyard and down the back of the hill, pass the dairy cows grazing happily....
coming back up through one of the fields, no one around, not the sight of a house, building or person, pure bliss, tranquility and peace...
If there is such a place as heaven, well this is the nearest thing to it for me....
There is no place like home.... who needs holidays when you have this on your doorstep each day...
The Irish countryside is truly beautiful, with wonderful landscape, scenery and when we get the good weather, there is no other place I'd rather be....
............................... thanks for coming along with me

and over by the calves...
cross the fence and take a look at the beautiful views- all of the trees to the right hand side of the photo is an island which is now overgrown...
take a closer look right from the waters edge, lots of blue damselflies fluttering by, a rabbit popping his head through the hedge and swans swimming eloquently in the distance...coming back up through one of the fields, no one around, not the sight of a house, building or person, pure bliss, tranquility and peace...
