Just cross the road, up through the farmyard and down the back of the hill, pass the dairy cows grazing happily....
and over by the calves...
cross the fence and take a look at the beautiful views- all of the trees to the right hand side of the photo is an island which is now overgrown...
take a closer look right from the waters edge, lots of blue damselflies fluttering by, a rabbit popping his head through the hedge and swans swimming eloquently in the distance...coming back up through one of the fields, no one around, not the sight of a house, building or person, pure bliss, tranquility and peace...
If there is such a place as heaven, well this is the nearest thing to it for me....
There is no place like home.... who needs holidays when you have this on your doorstep each day...
The Irish countryside is truly beautiful, with wonderful landscape, scenery and when we get the good weather, there is no other place I'd rather be....
............................... thanks for coming along with me
Absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Stacey, I'm a home bird...
ReplyDeleteAll things nice...
What part of Ireland do you live in? I have visited before and traveled mostly through the central part of Southern Ireland between Dublin and Shannon. Such a beautiful country! We are planning another trip in September in to the County Kerry area and I am very excited to return.
ReplyDeleteMaggie,
ReplyDeleteI live in County Cavan which is on the border with Northern Ireland, it isn't as popular with tourists as Kerry and the south of Ireland. It is very laid back with quaint towns and villages and lovely rolling drumlin countryside dotted with lakes...

So Pretty, may have to make it my next visit...
