Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Today myself and my husband visited Clonmacnoise in County Offaly. Clonmacnoise is located on the edge of the River Shannon which is Ireland's longest river. It was founded in 544 by Saint Ciaran. It is a monastic site with ruins of two round towers, high crosses, seven churches and even a cathedral. It is a wonderful place to visit and look around with a visitor centre on site. The photographs came out pretty well for a cold January day in Ireland. Hope you enjoy.

A Trip to Denmark
I'm going here next weekend, I have never been to Denmark, have you? I won't get much time to explore the place as I am going on a work trip. We are staying in a rural location so it will be nice to experience a different culture. Will the shops/restaurants/ public transport take euro?
Irish Blog Awards- Nominations
Hello my dear blog friend and followers
I had news this week that my Country Heritage Blog has been longlisted in the Best Art and Culture Blog(sponsored by Poetry Ireland) category of the Irish Blog Awards 2010. I don't know who nominated my blog as it is the blog that I update the least. I had never heard of the Irish Blog Awards until about a month ago. I'm very grateful to get longlisted and thanks to all my blog friends which ever of my blogs you visit :-)
