Hello everyone, yet another weekend is here! Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and getting better weather than we are getting here in Ireland. Raining today. My plans for mowing the lawn have been scrapped and instead I am tidying up my living room ready for the skirting boards to be fitted (hopefully this week). Below is the before and after with my new Victorian style fireplace which I am really happy with. I have decided to put carpet in this room to keep it cosy. Any suggestions of what colour or type I should get?

area carpets are so much easier to take up and have cleaned. In western Canada we are seeing less and less wall-wall carpet due to off-gassing and, personally, I never feel that my home is clean unless I can wash the floors with soap and water.
