This Christmas I attended two weddings. Have a look at the venues, what do you think? I have been to 6 weddings this year. I like attending weddings, but when you have a lot of them you don't enjoy them as much. In Ireland, weddings generally start around 1:00 in the day with the church ceremony and then the reception is in a hotel straight after. On arrival you receive tea and then later in the evening around 6:00 a full 5-6 course dinner is served. Speeches take place, then a band with dancing, some more snacks and tea and then dj with disco music. So a wedding day here is a very long day- finished late about 3:00 in the morning. What are weddings like in your country? I have never been to an outdoor wedding as the weather isn't good enough here in Ireland. Here are a few photographs from the two venues to share with you.
I've actually never been to a wedding, but these venues are really nice!
ReplyDeleteAlso, this is my first time visiting your blog and I just wanted to let you know that I find it to be really lovely!
I have been to 3 weddings this year. One at a chateaux in France, one in my neighbours garden and the last took place on the beach in Clayoquot Sound ( wild coast of northern BC) All 3, very different and lovely brides wore very, very similar dresses.
ReplyDeleteThese venues look lovely! I haven't been to a wedding this year but I enjoy them usually for the friends and the music.
ReplyDeleteIt has been years since I attended a wedding but, I think now a days it really can be anything goes!
ReplyDeleteWell I had an evening wedding but some people can spend up to 40,000 on a wedding and it's amazing all my girlfriends who made this quite a show day have all ended in divorce...we have so many reality shows about weddings now that I think they are kind of ruining what is one of the most special day of a girls life.
ReplyDeleteI have been married for 16 years now and have only been to 2 other weddings since.
One was my brothers 2 years ago and she did her own hair....not good! ooops I rambled on a bit.
Wow, what amazing place for a wedding! Sadly I've only been to one wedding, and that was mine in May this year! Ours was in a folly in a woodland, a compromise between my husband and me, I wanted a woodland wedding and he was worried about the weather! Fortunately it was the warmest day of the year! I'm looking forawrd to attending more, just need some of those engaged pepople to actually set a date! :) x
