Oh to live in the Country....

and have neighbours like these :-) They really warm my heart.
I already live in a very rural location on the outskirts of a small town with about 400 people in it, but my new home will be outside a very small village with just around 100 people in it. It is based on my boyfriend's farmland and although some of the above are already my neighbours, they all will be soon :-)

We are located almost two hours from the nearest city and there are no motorways in our county at all, so the pace of life is nice and slow and relaxing, just the way I like it!

Update No.3 on my New Home

Here is the progress on my new home. You can see the upstairs windows take shape, there is one on each side. Again as I took this photograph from an angle you cannot see the sunroom to the right hand side. The roofers are coming next week so it will really begin to shape then. We have chosen a storey and a half design house which is in keeping with the traditional farm houses in Ireland. We are going to put some stone on the porch and have brown windows with a coloured door.

Some pretty purchases...

This week with work I was at the National Ploughing Championships which also hosted some rounds of the European Contest. While there I visited the Food and Craft Village, it was full of lovely delicious artisan foods and creative crafts. I picked up these two items which I thought were sweet.

Both items are from Shallow Yarn Barn based in Castleblayney County Monaghan.

Think Contemporary- Interior Architecture & Design

I came across a cool modern Irish Interior design company based in Dublin, Ireland called Think Contemporary. It is owned by two accomplished interior designs with an impressive portfolio. They speciliase in Interior Architecture, Spatial Planning and Project Management. It is obvious from their work that they have a huge passion for design and thrive on creating individual and fresh interiors.
They can work with you on your concepts and ideas to create interiors that are both exciting, inviting and contemporary.

They have also introduced the idea of  upcycling and revamping furniture, to check it out visit their Think Contemporary Blog.

Here are a few lovely images of their interior design work which I particularly like;
