Spring in on its way at last. Today is the last day of January, it went by very quickly this year. I am not keen on the dark mornings and evenings so I am now looking forward to a stretch in the evening and more daylight :) Time to get out and about and enjoy the countryside.... My laptop broke before Christmas and a result I lost a lot of my photographs, some are stored on my google photos thingy (I don't really know how it works). I wanted to take them off google photos to store on my new laptop and use on twitter/instagram, etc. anyone know what I'm doing wrong? 

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I was so glad for the weekend to arrive as I was working late a lot of the nights this week- it's a long day at work from 9:00am until after 9:00pm and as I commute I wasn't home until almost 11:00pm some of the nights. It was nice today to catch up on housework and go for a nice long walk around the farm. The morning was lovely, we even had some bright blue skies... Below are some photographs from the farm... I promised I'd  post some more photographs from my trip to Ile de Re. If you have never visited you will have to put it on your travel list. It is a truly beautiful place-tres chic! I visited along with my mother in October 2016. It is a real hidden gem and it felt like we had the place to ourselves for the week. The architecture is stunning and the many small villages are very charming...

Happy New Year everyone.... I am trying to get back into a routine after a nice long Christmas break. I had a wonderful Christmas with so many friends and family visiting. I received lots of thoughtful gifts.  I haven't really made an New Years resolutions, I'm just trying to eat healthy and become more organised-the same as most people. I also want toy try and exercise some more. I haven't got out much over the Christmas for my walks so hopefully now that the weekend is almost here I will get out and about. Tomorrow I will take the Christmas decorations down as it is Little Christmas or Women's Christmas (Nollaig na mBan). Apparently the idea is that on this day the tradition was for the women to get together and enjoy their Christmas while the men folk stay at home and handle all the housework. However I  don't think this really happens! If you have a man in your life, see if it works for you and do let me know how you get on. I have some family visiting tomorrow night and then I plan to do lots of house work over the weekend. I have no major plans for 2017, we are very busy at work and I have to work three late nights next week.
