I went to IKEA in Dublin this weekend, it was my first time there. Unfortunatley when I got there and took out my camera the batteries were dead, I was sure I had them charged :( It has some lovely products and others not so practical. It is a great place for inspiration and there is everything you can imagine for your home. The little rooms are set out very well with lots of storage space. Above are some photos of some of the bedroom furniture I particularly liked. The bedrooms and living spaces were my favourite. The white billy bookcases with the glass doors and lights overhead are very elegant for not only storing books but displaying some of your favourite objects. If you are planning a trip to IKEA, don't go on a Sunday as it's families day out and the place is packed, if you have a day off during the week, it may be better to visit, they also have late enough opening times so the afternooon may be a good time. I enjoyed my trip and will go again some time :)

Glad you had a great trip to Ikea...when we first got married 100% of our place was bought at Ikea. Did you buy anything? x
ReplyDeleteI have never ever been to Ikea! I think I'm the only one in the world that hasn't been!! XXX
ReplyDeleteWell done you, I find the place an absolute nightmare but I'm pleased to see it's not the same for everyone !
ReplyDeleteElise,
ReplyDeleteI can imagine it being a nightmare at times alright, it's somewhere you would only go to about once a year and you could get fed up with it very quickly. It was my first time there and I was impressed :) Although saying that I didn't buy anything but came home with lots of interior design ideas. Next time I'll bring my camera.
All things nice...
