I already live in a very rural location on the outskirts of a small town with about 400 people in it, but my new home will be outside a very small village with just around 100 people in it. It is based on my boyfriend's farmland and although some of the above are already my neighbours, they all will be soon :-)
We are located almost two hours from the nearest city and there are no motorways in our county at all, so the pace of life is nice and slow and relaxing, just the way I like it!
Just the way I like it too! We moved out of South London to the country 12 years ago,and I've never regretted it.Sounds like your new home will be in a beautiful, peaceful location. :o)
ReplyDeleteExciting times ahead of you! Setting up home. Even if the pace is nice relaxing and slower.
ReplyDeleteAwww cute donkeys and ponies!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great place to live, being able to walk out the door to take a walk in the fields. Perfect. Take care and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean I love the countryside too lucky enough to live in a small village.
ReplyDeleteyour new home sounds like its in a beautiful location, its going to be wonderful for you
OOH I soooo love Donkeys, the picture is brilliant! I would love to live next to a field of Donks!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to live in the country for 28 years. My hubby likes Southern California! My in-laws live in rural PA. Oh it is so a dream!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great setting and your home is really taking shape. Love the pic of the cows poking their heads out of the stalls. Our apartment near Dundrum backs out onto the Airfield so we've got sheep and cows back there to look out at. It's a nice blend of city and country. Our home in Canada is on a river in the woods so nice and private and peaceful. :)
