Shopping for my new home..

Evening all, hope you are all having a nice weekend. Today I went and ordered the doors for my new home. Here are the ones I settled on below. They are knotty pine and hopefully will look nice

And I'm thinking of handles along these lines

And I went looking at furniture today as there is a sale on. Four rooms nearly fully painted and flooring next :) So tomorrow I'm bringing boyfriend to look at 2 nice suites of furniture for the snug and the sitting room. I also saw a beautiful dressing table that I love.. What have you all been up to??

Some views from home...

Here are a few views I took while on my way home from Sligo last weekend. As I always say "the best part about going away is coming home" :)

If you love Ireland and Art, check out this online shop......

iLoveMayo  is a showcase for artists, photographershttp and craftspeople living and working in County Mayo in the west of Ireland. Their art  ranges from paintings and prints to photographs and crafts. They are all so creative and unique. Here are two of my favourites from their online shop

A Poet, Church & Tearooms...

We visited the grave of well known Irish poet W. B Yeats who is buried in Drumcliffe County Sligo. I took some photographs to share with you all. It is a lovely wee church. There is also a gift shop and tearooms next to the church which was full of tourists. The church was once part of a monastic site and you can see some of the ruins of the monastery and the high crosses in my photographs.
I love the photograph above but the street light really ruins it on me :( If only I could delete it!
Here is a view of the interior of the church which was restored in 1999. It is a Church of Ireland Church.
Some detail from the walls of the church.
An exeterior view of the church. Yeat's grave is to the left hand side of the church entrance.
Interior painting over the alter of the church.
And finally some ruins of the monastery.

A few photographs I took on my night away....

Hello everyone, you must of all thought I had disappeared, my blog wasn't working correctly for a few days. I have been busy with work and the new house. The plastering is finished, my kitchen is ordered and I'm ready for the internal doors and skirting. I have some rooms painted too. I went to my parents holiday home for a night and here are a few scenic photographs of the area...

What are you all up to this weekend. Sorry I haven't commented on many blogs lately as my blog wasn't working correctly but I'm back in action now :)
