A Long Weekend for Easter...

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We had an extra long weekend for Easter with a bank holiday today. I also took Thursday off work so really enjoyed the time off. I spent time with family and pottering about. Had a look around the shops and done some housework. What did you get up to? Hope you didn't overindulge on the Easter eats....

Some Interior Design & Farming- Life in Rural Ireland

Hello everyone... It's midweek already which is great. I have holidays to take from work so I have decided to make a long weekend of it. Can't believe it's Easter- the year seems to be flying by. I had an extremely busy weekend, gardening, working on the farm, painting and put together some new furniture I purchased in IKEA.
Above are some photographs of my sunroom. I'm trying to create an eclectic look for it.. Doing some painting of furniture so I will post some photographs when it all comes together.

On Sunday I explored along the lake shore and helped out on the farm.

And just a few more photos from home...

Home Sweet Home for a Long Weekend

It is great to have a long weekend off work thanks to Saint Patrick's Day... The weather has been wonderful here so I have been making the most of it. I'm also doing a bit of DIY around the home and helping out on the farm- feeding calves and tagging..... Have you any nice plans for the weekend? Below are just a few photographs from the week gone by..

Making the most of the long evenings

This photo looks more like a Christmas card but when I spotted this little robin posing for me I had to take a photo.

It is lovely to see sheep in the Spring time.. We have none on our farm but any time I spot them I want to take them home...

A Blue, Grey and White Living Space...

My living room is now taking shape. I have been talking about it for a long time now. I was on the look out for an over mantle mirror for my living room but then I bought this canvas and have decided to use it instead of a mirror. It only cost €20.00. What do you think? I have changed it a bit now with two vases each side of the photo instead of the mixed items. I have tried to kept the room in different shades of blue, white and grey to watch the chairs, furniture and white marble fireplace.

I was also on the lookout for some nice cushions for the sofa and came across these cute paisley ones for €6.00 in Primark. I think they fit in very well and look more expensive than €6.00. Who doesn't love a bargain?

And finally I bought this cute baby blue lantern for a tea light in Primark as well. I need to paint/spray my lamp base and shade as it doesn't match the room but in time I'll do this. What do you think?
