Hope you all had a nice Easter and relaxing break. I enjoyed my time with family. The weather was lovely here in Ireland which was great as everyone was out and about. We went shopping and visited Lough Key Forest Park. I picked up a few country style items for my home- as you all know I like to keep it country! 

The china mug is from the Katie Alice Collection, it is really pretty "Have a cup of tea and fly away with me.." The Katie Alice Collection has some really nice vintage inspired china and homeware.

The image in the middle is my new mat for my hallway- how cute is it! I bought it in Vobe Interiors based in Carrick on Shannon, Leitrim, Ireland but the good news is they have an online shop too for any of you further afield. 

Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the Summer time. The weather has changed here today and it has started to rain. We are currently painting the outside of the house. I am taking a day off work tomorrow to relax. Have you any nice plans for the weekend? I'm off to Castle Leslie for Afternoon Tea which is a nice treat. You know how much I love tea.... One loves tea, do you? How do you like yours? In Ireland we drink a lot of tea and I am always happy with tea, however these pretty vintage style tea cups just don't hold enough for me. I have a favourite mug of course both at home and in work. Hope you are all having a nice week, the sun is shining and it is time for me to go and do my jobs on the farm. Have some tea on me, ahhh go on, go on....

Tea....  in lovely china and floral tea cups with delicate handles and tiny teaspoons, lots of milk and a good chat with a friend... Bliss! Anyone that knows me will know how much I love tea.

On my visit to Edinburgh my friends brought me to a place they knew I would love. It was called Clarinda's Tearoom on the Royal Mile. It was like my grans kitchen :o) We had breakfast and some lovely fairy cakes- yes I know those who indulge bulge, however it was more of a balanced diet of good and bad! Here are a few of my thimbles that I have been collecting for years, the majority of them are from different countries and I also have alot depicting wildlife. I started collecting them when I was a teenager. I need to get a new stand for them as I currently have 3 wooden stands and I don't have enough space for my growing collection. Do any of you collect thimbles?? If so what kind of storage/ shelves do you use for them? The stands I have are very dated wooden ones, I would like something different.
