Hope you are all having a nice relaxing weekend. The weather has got very cold and windy here in rural Ireland. It is almost like Winter again, I'm snuggled up here at the log fire with a big mug of tea. The interior images below are all from Good Homes Magazine.

From the images above, you can see that it is all about cosy warm comfort, it's a cold evening with the wind howling outside. But I am longing for good weather with lots of sunshine and wamth. The images below reflect what I want and soon!

We are all influenced by the seasons and the weather and our style also reflects our journey through the year too. Fresh flowers, bright whites and floral patterns speaks sunshine to us all- Summer time is on its way!

Spring is  almost over now, it only seems like yesterday it was winter. I am now in my new home 4 months and am married 2 months. We have to organise our honeymoon yet. Any nice suggestions of where to go? I want to stay in Europe though. Any ideas are welcomed...

I love the hotel we had our reception in- Lough Rynn Castle, if you haven't been to it,  you must go, it is really beautiful and testament to our rich built heritage here in rural Ireland.

Just a few images

I got a lovely surprise from one of my bridesmaids for our wedding. It is a wedding pillow lovingly handcrafted by the talented Karen from Tilly Rose. It is personalised with our names and the date of our wedding 25th February 2012. How pretty is it, and I will cherish it forever, a fond memory of our big day! You should check out the handmade and vintage goodies she sells and creates :)

Hope you all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed the time off. I am lucky as I also get today off work :) I had a nice weekend, went to my friends wedding party which was really good and great to see two good friends begin their married life together. I had another friend visit Sunday night and then I went to the city yesterday to catch up with more friends that I went to university with. I also had dinner with my inlaws on Easter Sunday which was lovely. So all in all, I had a lovely Easter with family and friends.

Hope you are all set for Easter! I have 3 days off work which is great- today, Easter Monday and Tuesday :) I did the shopping this morning along with cleaning and washing,and then went for a walk. I like to keep on top of my chores and keep the house as organised as possible. I bought this cheap notice board to pin some cards and info on. How do you keep organised in your home?

The first edition of Irish Country Magazine was in the shops this week and I was delighted to get my copy on Friday. As a lover of the Irish countryside, working in rural development and having married a full time farmer a month ago I am truly a rural girl. We also moved to our new home in the countryside. I love nothing more than going for walks down the back country lanes, listening to the birds singing and emerging myself in the beauty of nature.
